Adding a short Bible time to the start of a homeschool day gives it a spiritual anchor before the academic work begins — and it doesn't require a curriculum, just a repeatable five-to-fifteen-minute rhythm.
A Simple Daily Rhythm
A simple version: read a short Bible passage aloud, let each child (whatever their age) respond to one question about it, then move into a short prayer before starting the day's lessons. Multi-age households don't need to split this up — ask an open question (“What do you think that means?”) and let younger and older kids answer at their own level.
Setting the Tone for the Day
This is different from an evening family devotion: it's meant to set the tone for the school day itself, not wind the day down. Keep it consistent rather than elaborate — the same five minutes, most days, tends to matter more than an occasional long one.
